Well it looks like she is gearing up for nesting already(she still has a week or 3 to go). She had dug a few burrows on this side of the enclosure a week or so before mating started and about 3 days ago re-opened/re-dug this one. Shes been spending at least half her time down there. Kinda hard to belive there is an entire 16 inch lizard in that hole   Heres a hint of her tail

Well yesterday I found the Ackies mating again 13 days after their last copulation (obviously the female has started her next cycle)   and today they were back at it again but on this morning the female emerged not all chubby looking like she has been but looking like this   Soooooo...... hundreds of pounds of dirt later I'm welcomed by this wonderful sight  and now have 6 Varanus acanthurus brachyurus eggs cooking with more on the way.
